Nueva ministra Interior y Policía priorizará modernización, capacitación, participación comunitaria, eficiencia y coordinación interinstitucional

DIARIO ULTRAMAR, SANTO DOMINGO, RD.- La nueva ministra de Interior y Policía, Faride Raful, asumió el cargo con el compromiso de centrar su gestión en la modernización de la gestión de la seguridad, la construcción comunitaria del orden, la articulación interinstitucional efectiva para mantenerlo y la optimización de los servicios.
Sobre la seguridad, subrayó la importancia de emplear “herramientas tecnológicas para incrementar las capacidades de respuesta, interconectando las diferentes agencias de la seguridad y el orden en la labor de prevención y persecución en todo el país.”
En cuanto a la construcción comunitaria del orden, precisó que consiste en desarrollar “programas de vinculación social y educación, a través de juntas de vecinos, clubes deportivos, asociaciones barriales, iglesias, etc.”, con el objetivo de que “la sociedad sienta que desde este ministerio la seguridad la construimos todos”.
De la eficientización de los servicios, garantizó trabajo arduo para reducir el tiempo de espera, eliminar cualquier tipo de intermediación y las trabas burocráticas. Puntualizó, además, que la prioridad es que cada dominicano que cumpla los requisitos reciba una respuesta rápida y de calidad.
Con relación a la articulación interinstitucional efectiva para la gestión del orden, explicó que radica en promover una política firme de persecución al delito con trabajo en conjunto con instituciones como la Policía Nacional, el Ministerio Público y la Dirección General de Migración, y enfatizó la necesidad de recursos humanos capacitados y con mayores competencias.
Raful compartió sus objetivos a través de su cuenta de X, luego de ser recibida por los empleados de la institución temprano en la mañana, en este, que constituye su primer lunes a cargo de esa entidad ministerial.
De esa forma, exteriorizó la impronta con la que camina a enfrentar los retos vinculados a la seguridad interior del país, área de políticas públicas de primigenia importancia para los dominicanos.

Tras su juramentación el viernes, la ministra Raful comenzó sus labores de inmediato. El sábado sostuvo reuniones organizativas dentro del ministerio, y el domingo viajó a Samaná para supervisar de primera mano un incendio en un centro ferretero, donde, por desgracia, fallecieron dos personas.
