IDAC valora labor de controladores aéreos
DIARIO ULTRAMAR, SANTO DOMINGO.- El funcionario celebró que la fecha conmemorativa instituida en el año 1961 haya coincidido con la realización en el país de la 38 reunión Regional de la Federación Internacional de Asociaciones de Controladores Aéreos (IFATCA).
El director general interino del Instituto Dominicano de Aviación Civil (IDAC), Héctor Porcella, felicitó a los controladores aéreos por su valiosa labor de protección de la vida y su aporte a la seguridad operacional de la aviación en el país y el mundo.
En un mensaje difundido con motivo del Día Internacional de los Controladores Aéreos, Porcella felicitó a esos servidores y a sus asociaciones representativas en el país a nombre del IDAC, del presidente Luis Abinader y del sector aeronáutico nacional.
El funcionario celebró que la fecha conmemorativa instituida en el año 1961 haya coincidido con la realización en el país de la 38 reunión Regional de la Federación Internacional de Asociaciones de Controladores Aéreos (IFATCA).
La reunión llevada a cabo en un hotel de Punta Cana desde el pasado martes cuenta con la presencia de representantes de 18 países de América. En la apertura del encuentro regional hablaron, además de Porcella, el presidente de la Junta de Aviación Civil, José Marte Piantini; el director ejecutivo del Departamento Aeroportuario, Víctor Pichardo; la presidenta adjunta de la IFATCA, Helena Sjostrom; la vicepresidenta ejecutiva, Patricia Gilbert; y el presidente de la Asociación Dominicana de Controladores Aéreos (ADCA), Alberto Santana.
