El Consejo Nacional de la Magistratura (CNM) podría dar a conocer los nombres de los nuevos jueces del Tribunal Constitucional (TC) la noche de este martes.
DIARIO ULTRAMAR, SANTO DOMINGO, RD.- La expectativa surge debido a que el equipo de comunicaciones de Presidencia de la República anunció que este martes, a las 8.00 pm, el presidente Luis Abinader y los demás miembros del Consejo Nacional de la Magistratura se reunirán nuevamente.
El pasado jueves concluyeron las evaluaciones a los aspirantes que asistieron a vistas públicas. En la última evaluación participaron 20 de los más de 100 postulantes. El consejo tiene hasta el 16 de diciembre para anunciar la selección de cinco jueces que faltan para ocupar las vacantes del TC.
El proceso de selección, que abarcó diversas fases, ha sido supervisado por el CNM con el objetivo de garantizar la transparencia y la idoneidad de los candidatos que ocuparán los cargos en el Tribunal Constitucional.
Los postulantes pasaron por un riguroso proceso de selección que incluye entrevistas, pruebas escritas y análisis exhaustivos de sus antecedentes profesionales.

El presidente del Tribunal Constitucional (TC), Milton Ray Guevara, externó su confianza en que el Consejo Nacional de la Magistratura (CNM) realice una selección consciente y responsable de los cinco nuevos jueces de esa alta corte.
Tras doce años de intensa labor frente al TC, el magistrado Ray Guevara reflexionó sobre los logros obtenidos en esa alta corte. Habló sobre la necesidad de que se mantenga la solidez y el prestigio alcanzado.
Durante su discurso, Ray Guevara se refirió al legado que deja la primera composición del pleno de ese organismo.
Asimismo, abogó para que en el proceso de escogencia que se lleva a cabo, se tome en cuenta la justa participación femenina.
Al referirse a los retos que enfrenta el TC para seguir consolidándose, citó el cumplimiento fiel de las decisiones efectuadas. También, mencionó la necesidad de contar con una infraestructura física adecuada.
