El director general del IDAC Héctor Porcella, resalta dinámico crecimiento de la aviación civil y espíritu de unidad del sector aeroportuario.

PUNTO CAUCEDO.- El director general interino del Instituto Dominicano de Aviación Civil (IDAC), Héctor Porcella, valoró la disposición del sector aeroportuario de trabajar junto a las autoridades en una estrategia común para asumir el reto que plantea el dinámico crecimiento de las operaciones aéreas en el país.
Tras señalar que la República Dominicana sigue encabezando el proceso de crecimiento de la actividad aeronáutica en América Latina, Porcella felicitó la iniciativa de los principales operadores aeroportuarios de actuar mancomunadamente para abordar las tareas que impone ese proceso a corto y mediano plazo.
Hizo el señalamiento al participar en la conferencia coordinada por la Academia Superior de Ciencias Aeronáuticas (ASCA) sobre “Estrategias aeroportuarias ante el incremento de las operaciones aéreas”, para evaluar y compartir las iniciativas adoptadas por los manejadores de aeropuertos frente al notable incremento de sus operaciones.
El evento contó con las exposiciones y aportes de Mónika Infante, directora ejecutiva y CEO de Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (AERODOM); Giovanni Rainieri, director de Operaciones Airside de la Corporación Aeroportuaria del Este (Aeropuerto Internacional de Punta Cana) y Luis Díaz Monción, gerente de operaciones del Aeropuerto Internacional del Cibao.
La directora de la ASCA, Clara Fernández, agradeció la disposición de los operadores aeroportuarios locales de socializar sus iniciativas y propuestas para mejorar, junto a las autoridades de la aviación civil, las estrategias que le han permitido al país responder de manera eficiente y oportuna a los retos que plantea el notable incremento del parque aeronáutico y las operaciones de tráfico aéreo.
Recordó que la ASCA, además de poseer plataformas educativas de última generación para la capacitación del personal de gestión del tránsito aéreo, también cuenta con un amplio portafolio de entrenamientos enfocados a las diferentes áreas de especialización aeronáutica, siendo una de ellas la gestión de los aeropuertos.
