El Consulado de la RD en Miami, el INDEX y el Club de Dominó JPD, inauguraron Campeonato de Dominó con motivo celebración del Día del Padre Dominicano.

MIAMI, Florida.- De forma conjunta el Consulado General de la República Dominicana en Miami, el Instituto de Dominicanos y Dominicanas en el Exterior INDEX y el Club de Dominó Juan Pablo Duarte, quedó inaugurado el Campeonato de Dominó con motivo de la celebración del Día del Padre Dominicano, la actividad se llevó a cabo en el Parque de Allapattah en esta ciudad de Miami.
El viceministro de Relaciones Exteriores y director ejecutivo del Instituto de Dominicanos y Dominicanas en el Exterior (INDEX) Carlos de la Mota, expresó «sentirse muy satisfecho y complacido con la cónsul general de la República Dominicana en Miami, Geanilda Vásquez y el personal administrativo de esa institución, que conjuntamente con el encargado del INDEX del estado de la Florida Richard Montilla y todo su personal, han realizado este gran Campeonato de Dominó, con motivo de la celebración del Día del Padre Dominicano, a donde se han venido a recrear de la manera más sana tantos padres dominicanos. Precisó «que la diáspora dominicana siempre podrá contar con el INDEX para ese tipo de evento que tanto se lo merece».
El discurso central del acto de inauguración del Campeonato de Dominó estuvo a cargo de la cónsul general de la República Dominicana en Miami, Geanilda Vásquez, quien en sus primeras palabras expresó «grato encuentro en este domingo hermoso donde estamos reunidos en un día muy especial y emotivo para todos celebrar, además de la oportunidad de mantener con deporte recreativo, mente y cuerpo sano, ¡el Día del Padre de la República Dominicana!».
Al momento de dar la bienvenida al viceministro para las comunidades en el exterior y director ejecutivo del INDEX, Carlos de la Mota, puntalizó «que ha reavitalizado las comunidades y la diáspora de manera efectiva, continuando la visión del presidente Luis Abinader, priorizando en ejecución proyectos de beneficio para nuestra valiosa diáspora en diferentes países».
La cónsul Vásquez agradeció a «los vicecónsules y personal presente, al encargado del INDEX en el estado de la Florida, Richard Montilla, a Soledad Cruz, encargada de Asuntos Comunitarios, Francis Martínez, encargado División Financiera, Illens Brens, encargada de Asuntos Legales, y todo su personal administrativo, así como también al staff directivo del Club de Dominó Juan Pablo Duarte y a los miembros de la comunidad presentes.
Enfatizó que «el padre de familia es la persona de sexo masculino que tiene el poder, la autoridad y la responsabilidad económica de un hogar. Pero también es un forjador de ideales, de visiones y de empuje para sus hijos, por eso es tan esencial que siempre demos el mejor de los ejemplos a nuestros vástagos que siempre están pendientes a su accionar para emulador a esos padres.
Calificó que «la cercanía y la participación de un padre en la vida y las actividades de sus hijos, han pronosticado resultados positivos para los niños en todas las áreas del comportamiento socioemocional.
Añadió «concentrarnos este Día del Padre para celebrar con este torneo en el parque donde se encuentran los bustos de nuestros patricios, es más que un inmenso regocijo demostrando así no solo nuestra dominicanidad, sino, además que los dominicanos donde estemos podemos a hacer en el buen lenguaje, Capicúa 25 y anotar los puntos necesarios para resultar más que ganadores».
En la parte final de su discurso deseó «que gane el mejor y muchas felicidades nuevamente a nuestros hombres de trabajo, padres cabezas de familias, entes productivos de la sociedad que siempre están acompañados de mujeres de entereza, porque no en vano sabemos que «detrás de cada gran hombre, hay siempre una gran mujer», compartan como amigos y hermanos, en sana diversión con el deporte recreativo que más nos une en las Américas, el Dominó.
La directiva del Club de Dominó Juan Pablo Duarte, les entregó sendos reconocimientos al viceministro de Relaciones Exteriores y director ejecutivo del INDEX, Carlos de la Mota y a la cónsul general de la República Dominicana en Miami, Geanilda Vásquez, como muestra de agradecimiento por su dedicación, colaboración y organización del Torneo de Dominó».
El Consulado y el INDEX les brindaron a los padres que se dieron cita al Parque Juan Pablo Duarte, un suculento y exquisito buffet de la gastronomía dominicana.
