Edeeste inicia embargo a Telemicro por deuda millonaria
Según los documentos legales, Telemicro Canal 5 TV debe RD$ 159,260,789.24

La Empresa Distribuidora de Electricidad del Este, S.A. (Edeeste) ha iniciado acciones legales contra la Corporación de Televisión y Microonda Rafa, S.A. (Telemicro Canal 5 TV), tras la acumulación de una deuda de RD$202,474,064.49 por suministro eléctrico. La medida incluye el embargo retentivo de bienes y fondos en diversas entidades financieras y empresas.
Según los documentos legales, Telemicro Canal 5 TV debe RD$ 159,260,789.24 por el contrato NIC 1501764 y RD$ 43,213,275.25 por el contrato NIC 2228951. La deuda abarca facturas emitidas entre febrero de 2019 y mayo de 2024.

Base Legal
El embargo se fundamenta en el artículo 95 de la Ley General de Electricidad núm. 125-01, que autoriza a las empresas distribuidoras a cortar el servicio y proceder legalmente si las facturas no son pagadas en un plazo de 30 días. Las facturas emitidas a Telemicro Canal 5 TV no fueron disputadas ni pagadas dentro de los plazos establecidos, lo que justifica la acción legal de Edeeste.
