SANTO DOMINGO, RD.- La Dirección General de Contrataciones Públicas (DGCP) solicitó a las autoridades legislativas electas en las pasadas elecciones que soliciten de manera voluntaria la suspensión de su Registro de Proveedores del Estado (RPE) en caso de estar habilitados como suplidores gubernamentales.
La petición fue realizada hoy martes, en un intento de evitar conflictos de interés y mantener la transparencia en las instituciones gubernamentales.
«Estaremos identificando a todos los legisladores electos que tengan Registro de Proveedores del Estado (RPE) para proceder a la suspensión de oficio de sus registros una vez tomen posesión”, afirmó el director de la DGCP, Carlos Pimentel.
El artículo 14 de la Ley 340-06 establece que los legisladores no pueden ser oferentes ni contratar con el estado para suplir bienes, obras y servicios a las instituciones gubernamentales hasta seis meses después de su salida del cargo.
