DIARIO ULTRAMAR, SANTO DOMINGO.- “Nos mantenemos como el banco con las utilidades acumuladas más altas del mercado, con 19,632 millones de pesos”, dijo Samuel Pereyra, poco antes de que concluyera la misa aniversario celebrada en la Catedral Primada de América. La ceremonia fue oficiada por el obispo auxiliar de santo domingo, Amable Durán
Pereyra también destacó que el Banco de Reservas ha logrado posicionarse como el banco número uno entre los cinco más rentables de América Latina, Centroamérica y el Caribe, ocupa el sexto lugar a nivel mundial, según el ranking de los 1,000 Mejores Bancos del Mundo publicado por la revista The Banker.
El Banco de Reservas cerró septiembre de 2023 con la mayor cartera de depósitos de la banca múltiple nacional, que asciende a RD$922,755 millones. Además, mantiene la mayor cartera de créditos con un total de RD$499,499 millones. El banco también logró mantener una baja morosidad del 0.73%, considerablemente inferior al promedio de la banca múltiple del sistema financiero nacional que alcanzó el 1.13%.
En el segmento de pequeñas y medianas empresas (Pymes), el Banco de Reservas ha desembolsado más de RD$32,170 millones a más de 113 mil clientes en los primeros nueve meses de 2023. A través de sus programas de pignoración, se realizaron desembolsos por más de RD$8,897 millones.
La cartera de depósitos de Pymes se ubica en más de RD$81,124 millones con una participación de mercado del 26.7%. La cartera de créditos para Pymes alcanza los RD$71,863 millones con una participación de mercado del 26.1%.
En el sector turismo, el Banco de Reservas ha desembolsado más de RD$4,300 millones en los primeros nueve meses de 2023. Además, cuenta con una cartera de depósitos superior a los RD$9,200 millones y una cartera de créditos que supera los RD$41,300 millones.
El Banco de Reservas ha sido un aliado importante para el desarrollo de proyectos turísticos en 2023, con financiamientos por US$104.4 millones, incluido el Hotel Super 8 en Manzanillo y Zemi en Miches. Asimismo, ha participado en diversas inauguraciones financiadas en 2023, como el Hotel Hilton Garden Inn y la segunda fase del Puerto Turístico Taíno Bay.
Los datos suministrados indican que en el ramo zonas francas, al cierre de septiembre, se contaba con 230 clientes activos. El banco ha beneficiado a empresas de este sector con financiamientos por un monto superior a los RD$5,700 millones. Tiene un balance promedio en financiamientos por más de RD$6,350 millones, y un balance promedio en depósitos superior a RD$5,850 millones.
